Trees give shade for the benefit of others and while they themselves stand in the sun and endure scorching heat, they produce fruit by which others profit. The character of a good man is like that of trees. What is the use of this perishable body, if no use of it is rubbed the more scent does it yield. Sugarcane - the more it is peeled and cut into pieces, the more juice does it produce. Life itself is unprofitable to a man who does not live for others. Those who lay down their lives for the sake of a friend, or even for the sake of a stranger, will assuredly dwell forever in a world of bliss.



31. Write in about 150 words an essay on any one of the following topics :        6

Write a story in about 150 words using the outline given below and a suitable title to it :      6


Outline: An old lady becomes blind - calls in a doctor - agrees to pay a large fee if cured, but nothing if not - doctor comes daily and takes way some of her furniture - at last cures her and demand fees - lady refuses to pay saying cure not complete - she cannot see all her furniture.

(a) Write a letter to the Editor of a local English newspaper about frequent load shedding in the evening in your locality.


(b) Write a report on Covid 19 Corona virus and its impact in 100 - 125 words.

33. (a) Read the following passage carefully and answer the questions that follow :    

Corona virus, commonly called 'Covid 19' a pandemic, is an infectious disease. Covid 19 was first identified in Wuhan city, China during December 2019. Corona virus causes illness in the respiratory system of humans. It spreads primarily through contact and it has broken out in the whole world badly. 


The clinical name of Corona virus is SARS - Cov - 2 "Severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus- 2". Till now no vaccine no medicine has been developed yet for proper treatment of Corona virus and clinical research still going on. 


The WHO " World Health Organisation" declared Covid 19 is an international emergency. It causes a large number of death across the world. Due to Corona virus schools, colleges, organisations, business, industries were shut down and a large number country announced lockdown by their respective government. 


Corona virus spreads person to person among those who are in close contact. It spreads by the respiratory droplets of cough or sneeze of the Covid 19 patient. A healthy person may got infected by breathing the virus if he is in within 1 meter distance of a Covid 19 patient. 


The most common symptoms of Corona virus are fever, dry cough, breathing problem. Apart from this in some cases symptoms like fatigue, sore throat, muscle pain, diarrhea, loss of taste and smell can also be seen in some Covid 19 patient. Covid 19 symptoms is very mild to severe.


Inorder to prevent Corona virus  we need to take some precautions like, wash your hands regularly with soap or sanitizer, wear mask, always cover your nose and mouth while sneezing or coughing and maintain 1 to 3 meter social distance.
