NOTIFICATION on Dated 19/12/2022

This is for the general information of all concerned that, SEBA is going to introduce new types of Blank Answer Scripts for the subjects - English, General Mathematics, General Science and Social Science in the ensuing HSLC Examination, 2023 as the pattern of Questions of Core subjects are changed,, i.e. 50% Objective and 50% Descriptive. Therefore there will be two types of Answer Scripts to Answer separately the Objective and Descriptive type as mentioned below:

(i) Answer Script to Answer the 50% Objective type Questions in the first hour of Examination. In this case, no. of questions (Q.No. 1 to Q.No. 5) will be pre-printed in 5(five) pages and candidates have to write the Answer in specific earmarked places only. To Answer 50% Objective questions (total 45 questions), candidates will get the first hour time (60 minutes fixed). This Answer Script is common to all the Core subjects.

(ii) Answer Script to Answer Descriptive Questions (more that 1 Mark) in the next 2(two) hours (Q. No. 6 onwards)
Invigilators will distribute this Blanks Answer Scripts only after receiving the first one (Answer Scripts used for Objective type Questions). It may be noted that, there will be two different types of Answer Scripts-One for Gen. Maths, which is Plain and the cover page instructions are printed with Light Blue coloured ink and in case of English, General Science and Social Science, there will be Rolling Answer Script where Cover page Instructions are printed in magenta coloured ink.

Very important Point to be noted:
After completion of 3(three) hours time, Invigillators will collect the 2" Answer Scripts and then arranged the both as per Sl of Roll No.s . Thereafter, the Invigillators will tie the both Answer Scripts with threads keeping Answer Scripts of Objective Answers at the Top for a particular candidate and will arrange the volume of so tied Answer Scripts Roll No. wise. Extra care is to be taken by the invigillators at the time of binding the both Answer Scripts to avoid any sort of mistakes.

Keeping the Answer Scripts, meant for the Answer of Objective type Questions, at the top of tied lot is necessary because the provision for recording Evaluation Marks for all the Questions including the Descriptive type is available at the Cover page of this Answer Scripts only. There is no such provision in the cover page of the Answer Scripts meant for the Answer of Descriptive type Questions.

However In case of MIL and Elective subjects, the Answer Scripts are not changed, ie same with the Answer Scripts used in last year (2022) examination.
