14 of November is observed as the Children's Day in India. The Children's Day is celebrated on the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of Independent India.
Pandit Nehru was fondly called chacha Nehru by children. Children used to call him chacha because of his love and deep affection towards them. Also Nehruji was extremely fond of young children. Because of his love and affection towards young children his birth anniversary is observed as the Children's Day.
Children's Day has a lot of significance in the life of children's. It is not only celebrated for fun but, it reminds the vision and mission of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
His mission was to make every children well educated and have a good life. He wanted every children's development and welfare.
Children's Day is celebrated in all schools and colleges. On this day various activities are performed to make children happy. Many schools invited to orphanage to take part in various activities and offer gifts to them.
On this day many people distribute books, toys, sweets, clothes to children inorder to make their day special and memorable.
