"John Keats " Introduction about the Poet. 

John Keats was born on 31 October in 1795. He went to school at Enfield and he was remember by his friends for his generosity, aggressiveness and a passion for reading.

In 1811 Keats was apprenticed to become a surgeon, but he was attracted towards poetry and the call for poetry was too strong to be resisted, and from 1817 onward, he lived a life of a man of letters. Keats then settled down to a literary life but his poetical works did not attract much attention.

The hostile reviews on his long narrative poem "Endymion" Deeply wounded the poet, and in the opinion of some critics hastened his death. He was one of the most promising poets and left an indelible mark in English literature. Keats died on 23 February 1821 in Rome.
