IIT Delhi is situated at 2.5 kms distance from the Delhi metro, 14.8 kms from the New Delhi Railway station and only 10.9 kms from the Indira Gandhi Airport.

There are 11 boys hostels and 2 girls hostels in IIT Delhi. Hostel's accomodation is good, Though it may vary from hostels wise. If we talk about the boys hostels, they allot 1 room to 2 students and some rooms may be 3 students. But in the 4th year they provide single room to per student. Each room has bed, mirror, almirah, fan, washing machine etc.

In girls hostels one room is available for 3 girls students during 1st and 2nd year and in the 3rd and 4th year 2 girls per room.

Hostels and bathrooms are neat and clean. Each hostel have their own basketball, volleyball, cricket ground, badminton court in outdoor games and indoor games like T.T, pool, chess, foosball are available.

There are gyms for fitness lovers and each hostel have garden, TV rooms and common rooms which are fully AC installed. If you study till late night then no need to bother about food, each hostel have its own night canteen which is open till 3 a.m.

IIT Delhi Mess

Here all the canteens provide veg food + eggs, some canteen provide non-veg food also on some specific days, but you have to pay extra money from your pocket and have it. They provide breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner. they give you best breakfast and hygenic food. Overall food is good.

IIT Delhi cultural fest

• Cultural fest- "Rendezvous" (RDV) the north India's best fest commences in October 1st week. Renowned bollywood singers perform at this fest.
• Sports fest - " Sportech" commences in March.
• Technical fest- "Tryst" commences in Feb end.
And many more clubs and societies like drama, debating, dance, fine arts club, Enactus and many more where you can perticipate and have great experience.

Note: Hostel students's vehicles are not allowed inside the campus, but you can use bicycle.

Advice: Before picking up any colleges, if possible then visit the campus and take a round by yourself, try to interact with the seniors students then you can have some practical informations.
