Material/Ingredients need to Rajma Pulao at home

  • Garam masala: 1/2 tspn
  • Basmati rice (soaked in water for 10 minutes) : I cup
  • Rajma (soaked overnight in water): 1 cup
  • Water: 2 cups
  • Ginger-garlic paste: 1 tspn
  • Tomato finely chopped: 1
  • Kashmiri red chilli : 1 tspn
  • Coriander leaves: 2 tap
  • Coriander powder: 1 tspn
  • Turmeric powder: 1/4 tspn
  • Half onion chopped
  • Ghee: 1 tspn
  • Bay leaf: 1
  • Black pepper: 1/4 tspn
  • Cinnamon: a small piece
  • Cumin: 1 tspn
  • Cloves: 4
  • Star anise: 1
  • Salt: 1/2 tspn ( according to taste)

Easy method/recipe to make Rajma Pulao (Rajma Chawal preparation method)

Easy recipe to make Rajma Pulao, first heat ghee in a cooker. Now add bay leaves, anise cloves, cumin, cinnamon and black pepper and fry till it crackles, add ginger-garlic paste and fry while stirring.


Now add onion and fry till golden. Add tomatoes, mix well and cook for 2 minutes. Now add rajma and mix while stirring with a ladle. (Soak the kidney beans in water overnight.)


Now add coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, Kashmiri chili, salt and rice and mix. Add water and coriander leaves and give 2 whistles. Switch off the flame and let the pressure of the cooker dissipate. your hot Rajma Pulao is ready to serve.
