Books are a great source of knowledge to man and society. I am very fond of books, I spend a lot of time reading books of great author.

I like to read books based on almost every subject like Nature, Science, Maths, Drama, Novels, History, Stories, Sports etc. I have read books and novels written by great authors like R.K.Narayan, Khushwant Singh, Mulk Raj Anand etc.

My favourite author's name is Rabindranath Tagore. He comes of a respectable Bengali family. He was born on 7 May 1861 in Kolkata. His father's name was Sri Devendranath Tagore. His mother died in his childhood. He was not the only one from his family who was a writer, his brothers were also poet, writers, musicians etc.

His father wanted to make him a barrister. He was admitted to a public school in England. He studied law for some time but soon he left law and started reading Shakespeare and English literature.

After coming back to India, he wrote a number of short stories, plays, poems and novels. All his writings tell us about Indian culture and its richness. He write 'Gitanjali' a collection of short poems. He won 'Nobel prize' for Gitanjali, which made him famous throughout the world. His poems are full of beauty of nature, love of God and children.

मुझे नेचर, साइंस, मैथ्स, ड्रामा, नॉवेल्स, हिस्ट्री, स्टोरीज, स्पोर्ट्स आदि लगभग हर विषय पर आधारित किताबें पढ़ना पसंद है। मैंने आर.के.नारायण, खुशवंत सिंह, मुल्क राज आनंद आदि जैसे महान लेखकों द्वारा लिखी गई किताबें और उपन्यास पढ़े हैं।

मेरे पसंदीदा लेखक का नाम रवींद्रनाथ टैगोर है। वह एक सम्मानित बंगाली परिवार में आता है। उनका जन्म 7 मई 1861 को कोलकाता में हुआ था। उनके पिता का नाम श्री देवेंद्रनाथ टैगोर था। उनकी मां का निधन बचपन में ही हो गया था। वह अपने परिवार से अकेला नहीं था जो एक लेखक था, उसके भाई भी कवि, लेखक, संगीतकार आदि थे।

उनके पिता उन्हें बैरिस्टर बनाना चाहते थे। उन्हें इंग्लैंड के एक पब्लिक स्कूल में भर्ती कराया गया था। उन्होंने कुछ समय के लिए कानून का अध्ययन किया लेकिन जल्द ही उन्होंने कानून छोड़ दिया और शेक्सपियर और अंग्रेजी साहित्य पढ़ना शुरू कर दिया।
