Rain on the Roof poem summary

In this poem 'Rain on the Roof' poet tries to describe the experience  of enjoying the rain while he was lying in the bed in a cottage. The poet listens the musical sound of the patter  of rain on the roof of the cottage. The rain falls on the shingles and the resulting tingles causes an echo in the heart. It causes thousands of fancies and recollections in the mind.

Thereafter suddenly the poet remembers his mother as how she used to get up at the dawn. The memory of his mother makes the poet feel her fond look. To the poet, the rain is an instrument of reminiscence of past. The sound of rain falling  on the shingles takes the poet to his reminiscence past and the whole reel from the past is displayed in poet's mind.

Ans: Yes, when I was a child, my mother used to tuck me in as the poet's mother did.

Ans: Yes, I like rain very much. But when it rain heavily I stay inside my room and enjoyed the beauty of rain through the window.

Q3. Does everybody have a cosy bed to lie in when it rains ? Look around you described how different kinds of people or animals spend time, seek shelter etc. during rain. 
Ans: No everybody does not have cosy bed to lie in when it rains. Many people live at railway or bus station during rains. These people do not have even a bedsheet to lie in. There are  many animals which don't have any define shelter to stay during rains.
