Advertisement Writing for class 12 : Advertisement writing in the class 12 board examination in advanced writing skill section choices will be given to attempt any one question out of the given two Short Answer Questions and the options are

(i) Notice Writing or

Here, In this article I am going to write about Advertisement Writing and all about its types and purpose and tips how to write advertisement so that you can score full marks and I will give some samples of advertisements which has chance to come in the final examinations.

Types of Advertisement Writing

• Situation Vacant

This type of advertisement is written by an employer who is looking for the services of a person in his organisation.

• Situation wanted

This advertisement is written by a job-seeker.

• To-Let

This category type advertisement is written by a person looking for tenants for his/her property.

• Accomodation Wanted

This category is written by the ones looking for a place for accomodation.

• Missing

This is written in case any person/pet goes missing giving descriptive details for the same.

• Lost and Found

This is written in case any object / material / document is lost. e.g. suitcase, handbag, property documents, educational certificates etc.

• Tours and Travel

This is written in order to promote travelling business.

• For Sale

This category is written in an attempt to sell property / assests / goods etc.

There is so many categories of advertisement you can see in a newspaper, but here, I have tried to cover up that categories which are common for class 12.

Advertisement writing tips

• It should begin with a heading in bold or upper case letters.

• The language should be according to the audience we are referring to and words should be limited within 50 words.

• Do not use the same descriptive characteristics for every type of advertisement.

For example : In Situation Wanted case, calling for receptionist applications, one must use words that are indicative of the personality and communication skills you are looking for. On the other hand, for hiring a tech executive, it is imperative you ask for skills limited to the IT department.

• Always add contact details in the end either in the form of contact number, email id or both.

• It should be neat and clean with good presentation.
