Ingredients to make mooli paratha

To make radish paratha, you will need ingredients that are mentioned below. You can make mooli paratha in less than 1 hour.


For Whole Wheat Dough

  • Whole wheat flour: 2 cups
  • Oil or ghee (clarified butter): 1 / 2 tspn
  • Water to knead wheat
  • Salt : As per taste


For Radish Stuffing

  • White radish: 1 pcs
  • Green chilies: 1 / 2 finely chopped
  • Red chilli powder as required
  • Garam Masala Powder – optional
  • Ghee (clarified butter) or oil for roasting
  • White Butter to serve with the paratha
  • Salt as per taste
  • Celery
  • Radish leaves
  • Grated ginger
  • Amchur powder



How to make Radish Paratha/Mooli paratha recipe

Peel the radish and dry it well. After grated the radish, drain all the water from it. Always grate the radish thinly, otherwise it will be difficult for you to make the stuffing. Use this water to knead the dough of parathas.


Whenever you want to make parathas, make the radish stuffing fresh. By keeping the stuffing for a long time, it starts releasing water. Fry the radish with little oil and all the spices according to taste. Do not cook it for a long time. Doing so can even burn it. If you want, you can use radish stuffing without roasting it.



Tips to make mooli Paratha easy recipe

To make radish parathas, choose soft radishes without leaves. Knead the dough well for some time to get a soft and smooth texture.


Do not throw away the radish water, it can be used for kneading the dough. It enhances the taste of your parathas manifold. Use fresh radish leaves in the stuffing. Make sure it is soft, hard leaves are not suitable for use.


Do not keep the radish mixture ready for a long time otherwise it may turn watery and you may find it difficult to make parathas. Never grate the radish on a coarse grater. By doing this, you will not be able to roll it into a paratha and the stuffing will start coming out.


Take wheat flour in a big bowl, add salt and little oil to it. Knead the dough for a few minutes, so that it becomes soft and smooth. Leave the dough like this for 10 minutes.


 

Easy recipe of radish paratha

Take two lemon sized balls from the dough, roll it thin with the help of a rolling pin. Spread the radish stuffing evenly on one paratha and put the second paratha on top of it. This trick helps you to make paratha with uniform stuffing.


Seal the edges using your fingers. Flatten the paratha with the help of a rolling pin. Put the paratha on a non stick tava (griddle) and bake it well from both the sides by applying light ghee. Fry till golden on both the sides. Remove from the flame and apply some butter on top. Serve with curd.
