The story The Talkative Barber is about very talkative barber. He lived in the city of Cashgar. Once the Sultan called him to shave his head. 


The Barber was very talker, he started talking instead of shaving Sultan's head. The Sultan told him many times not to talk but to do his job. The barber did not pay any attention to the Sultan and kept on talking.


The Sultan got very angry. Seeing his anger the barber washed the Sultan’s head and began to shave. But soon he stopped shaving and went out to see what time it was leaving Sultan’s head half-shaved.

The barber came back and resumed his work. But he wanted to know why the Sultan was in so hurry, He requested the Sultan again and again to tell him what important affair he had in hand. 


Then after the Sultan got fed up and told the barber that he had invited some friends to lunch. At this the barber said that he too had invited four or five friends to come to his house that day. 


But he forgot it and had not made any preparations for them. The Sultan wanted to get rid of the barber. He told him to finish his work without any delay. 


The Sultan gave three pieces of gold, also offered him all the food that had been prepared for him that day. The barber started shaving his head again. But he stopped again and said that he never knew that the Sultan was so generous.

The Talkative Barber की कहानी बहुत ही बातूनी नाई के बारे में है।  वह कैशगर शहर में रहता था।  एक बार सुल्तान ने उसे अपना सिर मुंडवाने के लिए बुलाया।


नाई बहुत बातूनी था, उसने सुल्तान का सिर मुंडवाने की बजाय बात करना शुरू कर दिया।  सुल्तान ने उससे कई बार कहा कि वह बात न करे बल्कि अपना काम करे।  नाई ने सुल्तान की ओर ध्यान नहीं दिया और बात करता रहा।


सुल्तान को बहुत गुस्सा आया।  उसका गुस्सा देखकर नाई ने सुल्तान का सिर धोया और दाढ़ी बनाने लगा।  लेकिन जल्द ही उसने हजामत बनाना बंद कर दिया और यह देखने के लिए बाहर चला गया कि किस समय सुल्तान का सिर आधा मुंडा हुआ है।


नाई वापस आया और अपना काम फिर से शुरू कर दिया।  लेकिन वह जानना चाहता था कि सुल्तान इतनी जल्दी में क्यों था, उसने सुल्तान से बार-बार अनुरोध किया कि वह उसे बताए कि उसके हाथ में कौन सा महत्वपूर्ण मामला है।


फिर बाद में सुल्तान ने तंग आकर नाई से कहा कि उसने कुछ दोस्तों को लंच पर बुलाया है।  इस पर नाई ने कहा कि उसने भी उस दिन चार-पांच दोस्तों को अपने घर आने के लिए आमंत्रित किया था।


लेकिन वह इसे भूल गया और उसके लिए कोई तैयारी नहीं की थी।  सुल्तान नाई से छुटकारा पाना चाहता था।  उसने उसे बिना किसी देरी के अपना काम खत्म करने के लिए कहा।
